Description
Jonathan Swift (Swifty) and I walk at sunrise every single day. He is a four-year-old border collie-collie cross, rescued from a swamp where he existed with 23 other dogs who were thrown a raw muskrat carcass now and then for food. I am a survivor of MKULTRA mind-control experiments of the 1960s, and suffer from attacks of panic and depression. On this morning, Swifty sensed my melancholy mood, looked at the sunrise, looked back at me - and lay down, as if he was saying "you know what you have to do, now do it.†So that’s how this image came about. Photographed September 24, 2012, by the Black River, near my home.
