Description
Have you ever seen a Great Blue Heron do this? It's referred to as the Flasher Pose. It is believed to be a maintenance behavior. They do this to either dry off or cool down. Since he was also panting and standing in the direct sunlight, I'd say he was cooling down. This guy was such a character!
