Description
Named after a nephew of Napoleon , Charles Lucien Bonaparte, a leading ornithologist in the 1800s in America and Europe. An occasional visitor to the lagoon. I've read that these birds tend to keep to themselves, but these Bonaparte's were mingling with Oyster catchers and much larger gulls.
