The Hunt

Description

I was out walking when I spotted this blue heron hunting near the shoreline. I didn't have my camera, so I used to my phone to take a quick video and then promptly dropped it into the water. I ran home to dry it out and grabbed my camera, hoping it would still be there when I returned. I kayaked over and spent some quality time watching it hunt just as the sun was setting. You can actually see a fish in its mouth in this shot!
