Description
It was a perfect summer morning for a boat ride through the Gros Morne fjords in Newfoundland.
The striking rock formations were wrapped in full-grown and tall trees, ranging from balsam fir, black spruce, white spruce and paper birch.
The Gros Morne fjords are a 16 km-long landlocked basin that was create during the last ice age thanks to massive sheets of flowing ice moved through the valley. The heavy ice scraped and scoured the rock which shaped the deep, steep-walled valleys that measure up to 2,000 feet tall.
The grandiosity of this place is truly something else and we're lucky to have such fjords in Canada.
