Lucky Shot

Description

This is a shot that I have only dreamed of! I have wanted to take a photo of a dragonfly or damselfly from behind a blade of grass, with their eyes sticking out of either side. It's just something I never thought was going to happen, but always wanted to capture. I was walking our dogs one morning, and when I looked in the tall grass, I saw a damselfly sitting there, so I pointed my camera to it. It was on the side of the grass at first, and then it happened, it moved behind the blade of grass! I couldn't believe my luck, I just wished I had my macro lens with me instead of my telephoto lens, but I managed without it. I would love to be able to capture this again but with my macro, maybe it will happen again, but for now, I am extremely thrilled with this shot! Clinton BC
