Flight in Fog

Description
It's an early summer morning and the overnight fog hung around into the morning where we find this egret in flight at Ottawa's Nepean Creek. Considering it is the end of summer, the heat is absent but the humidity remains and mornings now carry a bite of cool in the air. Add in the misty fog and overcast and it makes it nearly perfect conditions for egrets and other herons to fish as it makes for better to see fish below the water. This egret was sharing the creek with a blue heron, but the two knew to keep their distance from the other, so here we see the egret being chased out of the farthest end of the creek where it would set up in a new spot.
