Chew Toy

Description

A young red fox kit takes time out of its play to inspect and then chew on a nearby broken branch. Since the little wasn't bored, chances are it was using the piece of wood as a teething toy. It takes fox kits three to four days to get the lower set of their baby teeth and then at 14 days their upper milk teeth come in. And as they mature, kits will lose their milk teeth into adulthood, which are more convenient for actual hunting and eating solid foods. This kit was one of what was believed to be a den of about/nearly 10. At this age they were very rambunctious, always finding ways to cause a ruckus, this all, of course, is part of their growing up and preparing them for their adulthood.
