I spent many an hour this past spring, and early summer observing a nesting pair of Eastern Bluebirds. They had taken up residience in a roadside birdhouse. It had been an all day rain on this ocassion, but that did not deter this male from his endless task of retrieving insects, and berries for his nesting partner, and their newly hatched brood.
