Green Herons are a common bird, but for myself they are rather elusive. Compared to Great Blue Herons, or Great Egrets which I see all the time here at the mill pond. I don't often see the Green Herons. This week though, I have had the good fortune to have two, pass within five meters of where I usually sit.
