Bear Lake is a small lake along Highway 31A, between New Denver and Kaslo, BC and there are a handful of cabins at the east end of the lake. It is only about a hundred meters from Fish Lake and story has it that Bear Lake actually is Fish Lake, and vice-versa, but someone from Highways put the wrong signs up many decades ago and the 'new' names have stuck.
