Description
As I was walking our property, I wasn't seeing a whole bunch to photograph. On my walk back, I saw a dragonfly take off from in front of me. I decided to stop and see if it would land somewhere close and it did. The sun was in front of me and I wanted to have the sun behind me, so I crept around, crouched down and took some photos of it from the other side. I couldn't believe the colours of this one, I have never seen anything like it or the purple eyes either. Such an interesting looking dragonfly, which I think is named a Variegated Meadowhawk.
