Description
The Canada geese, which I estimate to number between three and four hundred, roost here at the Mill Pond in Hespeler, Ontario, each night. As they awaken, they begin preening and exercising their wings, and the chatter begins as they break into their groups and prepare to head out to the many farm fields and open spaces in and around Waterloo Region, where they will spend their day feeding. They all seem to have a specific routine and schedule for each group's departure.
