Spring time along highway sixty in Algonquin Park attracts visitors with the hope of seeing a moose. The water in pools road side bring moose frequently to drink the salty brine. My sightings this April showed signs that the animals were in a spring moult and affected by parasitic ticks. Despite their scraggly look, they were still a pleasant sight.

Great shot of the moose! It was great running into you at Algonquin at the visitor's centre! I joined the site and have just uploaded one pic so far. I was the one with the Nikon 300 f4 at the bird platform. I will have to load some of my Algonquin pics as well. Susan Breau (your shot-national geographic)
