While on vacation recently in the Alberta Rockies, my husband and I stopped at one of my favorite places in the whole of Canada ~ Moraine Lake. This lake is right next door to the world famous Lake Louise. Both lakes are glacier-fed so the have the most incredible green-blue waters. Well this particular day, it seems we weren't the only ones visiting lake - this 2 year old male grizzly had wondered down the mountains looking for food. His momma had just had cubs and he was "told" that he was old enough to look after himself. Although this photo looks like I am very close, I do know my bear facts and thankfully had my telephoto lens with me. It turns out he wasn't the only grizzly we'd meet up with this trip.
