Along the hills of B.C.'s interior you might come across an image like this, where fire gives way to regrowth. Some fires are caused by lightning, others by man.

An excellent illustrative image of the resilience of nature.....thanks for sharing. BTW....you didn't happen to be at the U of Guelph in the early 1970s, did you?
