The Great Sandhills in Southwest Saskatchewan are an interesting land formation that rise abruptly above the surrounding prairie farmland. Encompassing more than 1900 square kilometres and standing more than 20 metres high, the sandhills are active and constantly re-shaped by the prevailing winds.
