Large shelf cloud in Saskatchewan. I had flown home from work early and was on route from Saskatoon to Leader. I knew there was a storm in Alberta, I checked the radar but thought I'd miss it. That changed about an hour later, the storms had formed a fast moving squall line and now well into Saskatchewan. A little while later, through the smoke in the air, I could see it approaching, and drove off the highway to find something in the foreground. This Canola field had to do. Taken 30 kms East of Kindersley Saskatchewan, at 8:40 pm, July 17 2014. The next day I read reports of 137 km/h winds and a lot of damage in the area.

Very cool
Amazing photo & capture!
Lisa, it did not have a tornado that I know of. At this point in the storm it had become outflow dominant and was a squall line. Tornado's can form on those storms, but are much less likely to than a rotating supercell which this one started off as while in Alberta.
That is a scary cloud! Did it have a tornado?
Wow, that is amazing. Such power in nature.
What a stunning capture, Ryan. Wow!
