Valentine's Day outing to St. Jacobs, Ontario where we stumbled upon Waterloo County Heritage Preserve Inc.'s St. Jacobs and Aberfoyle's "O" scale" Model Railway's amazing display depicting Southern Ontario in the late 1950's. Hand built models of both Canadian Pacific and Canadian National are displayed and operated by a dedicated group of volunteers.

Night scene at St. Jacob's Model Railway display
Thanks, Holly. About 2 PM they turned down the lights to simulate an evening scene so all of the lights on trains, housing structures etc. were shown off. I want to go back in the summer with my big camera to get better shots. So much to do and see in St. Jacobs. Make sure that you check out their opening days and times for the model train place : with being run by volunteers, it seemed they were only open weekends and perhaps holidays.
Great shot Linda! Must plan a visit to St. Jacobs soon!
Anyone wanting more information go to www.stjacobsmodelrailway.com The volunteers seemed to be having a great time running several models from an upstairs operating room, while other volunteers met with people who were checking out the amazing display and answered any questions.
