Found an active Eastern Bluebird box. Turns out the Tree Swallows were trying to make their own nest inside the Bluebird box. The Bluebirds were having none of that and were constantly chasing after the Swallows. The Bluebirds didnt always win either as two and sometimes three Swallows would gang up on the Male Bluebird and actually take it to the ground. This was one instance when the Male Bluebird actually caught this Swallow and literally pulled it out from the box. If anyone would know how I can get this photo to the gentleman that looks after the boxes please pm me with contact info Im sure he would like to have this one as I spoke with him today and praying the Bluebirds would win this fight.
