This Red River cart is part of a sculpture outside Kenaston, Saskatchewan, called "The Lesson" created by Don Wilkins of Davidson, Saskatchewan. Made of metal this replicates the Red River cart invented by the Metis for freight transportation prior to the railway. The photograph was framed to catch the setting sun coming through the wheels. Aperture was set to create the star effect, emulating the spokes of the wheel.
