With still some snow on the ground, this Arctic Hare is taking a break from its search for vegetation in the scattered snow-free ground patches. After the first day keeping a distance, this one got used to me following and allowed me to work closer. Taken at Ulurvik, 30 miles north of Kugluktuk, Nunavut in late May.
