Searching for Food and Water

Coming out of the den is probably the most difficult time for grizzly bears. They are weak from a long sleep and food sources are scarce. Here, a mother grizzly bear is looking for food and water for her cubs. She is coming downhill towards a pond that will be full of vegetation and small animal life... in about 2 weeks time. Until then, the bears struggle.
