Lone muskox (Ovibos moschatus) encountered as I was on my way to another location. This early morning shot shows the beautiful morning colors in late July on the coast near Ulurvik, north of Kugluktuk, Nunavut. An if you zoom in, you'll also see the hundreds of mosquitoes hovering and hoping for a meal from this muskox. (note that the same number is usually accompanying the photographer as well).
