Color balance, rhythm, colors, strength of a few remaining trees with their orange leaves in a sea of gray tone and white, feeling of distance, composition, it is Art with a capital A !!!
I do know exactly what you mean! I just can't figure it...how the quick snaps get the lions share of the attention, and the ones we slave over and think are great, get glazed over...very bizarre. Still, I really like this shot!
Thanks Sheri, that is very kind of you. Truth is, every week I see at least a dozen worthy photos and I don't usually agree with the pick. Then isn't it funny how much effort can go into some photos that you are proud of (you all know what I mean) and then one where you stop your car, do a quick take of a scene, take a few shots out the window and drive off... that one gets picked.
