This is a photo of a red octopus eye taken underwater at Whytecliff Park in West Vancouver, BC. Whytecliff Park is the first Marine Protected Areas in Canada and a popular dive site amongst scuba divers. Every Wednesday we gather around Whytecliff Park to do a night dive. I took this shot using a snoot, a device that modifies the strobe light. The snoot allowed me to shin down a narrow beam of light. This light allowed me to isolating the eye of the subject.
