The Algonquin Provincial Park is located between the Ottawa river and Georgian Bay. It dates back to the late 18th century and is the oldest provincial park in Canada. The park boasts 2,400 lakes and 1200 kilometres of rivers and streams. There is huge diversity in plant and animal life here, making it a hotbed for research. Year after year as summer recedes and the greenery turns golden, the park attracts scores of visitors for an awe-inspiring experience with the colours of fall.
