This was taken in the early morning of Mother's Day 2016. The coronal arch was amazing, the colored bands spinning and opening above me unlike anything I had ever seen.

Awesome!!! Back when I was in the PPCLI we had various winter warfare training in Saskatchewan and Manitoba - and the Lights were amazing!!! I remember the snow glittering like diamonds, and it looked like the Almighty was making his bed with sheets of static electricity. Out in the territory we are in now we saw the lights while sitting around a campfire. They were different than I have ever experienced before - thankfully :) They were like a green glow across the horizon, and then these glowing green orbs of various sizes going off like fireworks in the sky above us - truly amazing.
