Beautifully captured moment. I used to spend a lot of time as a kid in the Keremeos area picking fruit for my Grandfather when he had his orchard in Coston. I love "Big K" mountain - and Cathedral Park? Hiked up to the top to check out the sites - amazing place. We used to jump off the "Red Bridge" as kids, and fish in the Smilkameen River - talk about good fishing for trout! I knew an old woman called Pam that must have passed on to Glory years ago, but she had a place out there on the river. An old cabin - with a dirt floor :) She had horses and hound dogs - and used to shoot cougars that came to get her livestock! She was the "Cougar Annie" of the Okanagan. AAhhh the good ol' days. I jumped on a deaf horse that she had - and the horse ended up taking off with the rest of the herd Pam had. Riding bareback - I held on for dear life! Those horses sure could fly ha ha...once we reached the end of the meadow I jumped off - thankful I was still alive - but sure appreciated the ride!
Thanks for the memories!
