Beautiful picture. My Great Grandfather used to live just down the road in Naramata. I used to ride a little pony called "Checkers" on our way to visit him and Great Granny. There were so many skunks on that road back in the day that ended up being run over...what a stink ha ha. Poor little critters! To this day - I have never met a kinder man than Great Grandpa. The folk, and critters, of that town loved him - as far as I could tell. The ducks used to walk all the way to his place, a good 20 minutes, from Okanagan lake. His yard was like Paradise...he lived to be 100 years old. My wife had the good fortune to sit on his knee before he passed on to Glory. Before he passed on he used to have a sign hung around his neck when he was out in his wheelchair: I am not lost - I am just having a rest. When I hike the mountains in the area we live now - I know his blood runs through my veins.
Thanks again :)
