Had the opportunity to watch my first pair of Merlins this past weekend as it turns out they have set up camp next to my cottage. Can't help but notice them due to the constant calling they do. They have taken over a crows nest and am hoping to see their chicks soon. The downside of having them around is that they are chasing the songbirds away (given they are a source of food)
