I did not go storm chasing today, but said I will wait for them to come to me, and hope they still have lightning in them. 9 hours later, I took my mom out to watch the storm. I set up my camera at the last standing grain elevator in Leader Saskatchewan, where I have lived for 37 years. 30 pics into the 3.2 second exposures, this happened!! It has been my dream capture for years, and tonight it finally happened!

This shot is the reason I bought the 2019 Wicked Weather calendar. The Leader grain elevator caught my eye. I went to high school at St. Angela's Academy in Prelate in the 90's and an outing to Leader was a big deal for us Academy girls. Great shot, and great memories!
I can't stop looking at this, incredible.

Holy Moses - that is amazing!!! Well done. Bucket Lists are awesome - thank goodness everyone has a different bucket :) Truly - wonderful time spent with loved ones makes this moment even better. Yer Ma must be proud :)
What a great shot! The lightening is fabulous and the way it lit up the buildings in the foreground adds volumes to the detail in the photo. A truly lovely image! Congrats on photo of the week, too.
Your patience definitely paid off...incredible shot, love the depth of perception!!
