I found this cool looking moth so tried taking a macro shot of it. I think the moth looks pretty cool when viewed and photographed with a macro lens. Species name is soybean looper moth.

Those moths are absent from the west coast, but we do have close relatives here. Even though they are not (for the most part) the most colourful of moths, the elaborate tufts and ridges are fascinating.
