Eagle Plains is on the Dempster Highway, the Dempster Highway starts at the Klondike Highway and ends in Inuvik. It is 742 km of well maintained gravel road with only one Hotel and restaurant which is at Eagle Plains. When the road closes due to high winds at Hurricane Alley motorists would stop over at Eagle Plains in the Yukon.
