the morning of September 11 2018 the aurora was putting on a show in Alberta. The clouds had covered most of Southern Alberta luckily there was a clear spot in Kananaskis! I had a couple friends scout the sky and I joined them as the aurora was really picking up. After midnight we arrived and the #STEVE showed around 1:30am the bright ribbon is hot gas @3000C moving at 6km/second: Strong Thermal Emission with Velocity Enhancement
