A pit stop at the Grand Falls by the Malabeam Information Centre, which is a historic site associated with the legend of Malobiannah. At this site you can read about the story of a Malecite woman's efforts to protect her people from Iroquois invasion by using the natural falls to escape their capture. This legend was later contended by various Indigenous people such as Dan Ennis, a Tobique First Nation elder, as being fabricated and the site simply used to gain tourist attraction without honouring the traditional Indigenous culture and history.
