We have had a snake living near our dock at the cottage all summer. After returning from a kayak excursion, there was much activity in the lily pads near the dock. Unfortunately, the snake we became accustomed to was replaced by the snapping turtle that was in the process of eating said snake. Such are the 'perils of the wild ....'
