Path of the Gods

If you look closely you will see a hiker on the Path of the Gods, about to round a corner on the foreground cliff. There are no guardrails to block the view along this ancient winding pathway. Sentiero degli Dei, or Path of the Gods, is one the world’s most famous walking trails. It is only in relatively recent times that it became known to travellers and recreational hikers. Connecting Agerola to the hamlet of Nocelle near Positano, for centuries it was a route for carrying by foot the prized cheese products of Agerola to Positano and Praiano, returning possibly with fish or lemons.
