First encounter with that kind of woodpecker. The sun was right, the distance was perfect and (of course ) it made my day.

What a great shot Yves. Congrats on this lifer for you, I'm sure it did make your day. It is awesome when so many elements of a photograph all come together to make an excellent composition like this one. You should be so proud

You captured him in a very nice pose Yves. I really like all the texture in the tree against the soft background. Wonderful that you were able to have the first encounter with this woodpecker.

Really nice capture of your first sapsucker encounter Yves, I like the angle and framing on this shot. They're very attractive and colorful birds to have around as long as they don't get carried away drilling for sap.
