This is the architectural award winning library in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie, who was the benefactor responsible for the construction of many libraries in North America, is known to have said that "a library outranks any other one thing a community can do to benefit its people. It is a never failing spring in the desert."
