A female Mule Deer with a Tumor...

This poor sweet momma mule deer has a huge tumor. It seems to be attached either just above her eye or it could be protruding from her eye. I saw her and her twins behind an abandoned building and went to investigate. Her vision is obviously somewhat impaired....I had crouched down waiting for her to walk out from behind the building and when she came around the corner, she didn’t seem to know or see exactly what I was. In fact, she walked right up to me peering with her left eye and came so close to me that I couldn’t fit her into my camera frame. I softly told her “people might be dangerous so keep yourself and your babies safe and hidden”. My words seemed to work as she stopped her approach and went back to behind the house.
