This buck would appear to have had a busy night wandering. He did not have a doe with him so I think he may be on the hunt for a doe. I am not sure what has played a part in the lack of white-tailed deer in the park this year but I am seeing half of what I would normally have see by now. I am not sure if the warmer temperatures are keeping the white-tail deeper in the bush or if their numbers are just down.

Lovely portrait of a lonely buck. Also appreciate the story. Most animals go through a bust and boom period. Maybe that is what's happening?

I like how you caught him in a little clearing surrounded by the tall grasses and bushes. The colour contrasts really set him off here. A beautiful capture of this handsome looking whitetail, Debra.

Wow! this is a very beautyful buck Dabra and you caught him in a great pose. The deer stands out very well against the pale ground and grey-blue forest.
