Sandhill Cranes

Thirty years ago. To see Sandhill Cranes on the first day of winter, would be unheard of, to say the least. Over the last few winters though, I have often seen them in, and around Waterloo Region here in Southern Ontario. A sign of climate change possibly, and or a recovering species as well, it is certainly a welcomed sight. As I was driving home this afternoon, I watched as these three made a landing in the cornfield by the road.
