Rock leading lines draw the eye toward the jewel of Lake Oesa. The favourite subject of Group of Seven member J.E.H. MacDonald, whose last large format painting captured an early September snowfall on this lake. A hike/scramble along the left side of the lake leads to Abbot Pass (2,922m) between Mount Lefroy (3,423m) and Mount Huber (3,368m). Pass through 'The Death Trap' and you will reach the Plain of the Six Glaciers Trail that leads to the very familiar Fairmount Chateau Lake Louise. Canada 🇨🇦 Proud.
