the American White Pelicans are back. Taken at Lockport, Manitoba where the Red River floodway joins back in to the Red River before emptying into Lake Winnipeg.

Terrific action shot, Debra. You've captured the excitement of their return perfectly in this shot. The water tones and background detail make for a really interesting and beautiful image. Well done.

I agree with Yves. The background gives depth to the photo and I love how the birds are spaced out in the photo. Great timing!!

Super action shot Debra. Love the contrast between the bright colours of the foreground and the soft tones of the back. Nice compo with a little sky on top. Big birds gliding low over the water with wingtips almost touching is a winer. Great shot Debra.
