It is my first encounter with that kind of sparrow. The usual ones are not so colourful. Light condition was perfect to show off the nice colour pattern and make the photographer real happy. (taken april 2025)

Looks like he's getting in tune for spring. Like Jane said, he stands out so well here against the background, lovely composition too. Very well captured, Yves.

I love how the bird is off center in the photo. It's more dynamic. Also, it's the same colour as the background, but because of the shallow depth of field, it easily stands out. And the fact it's singing....bonus!!! Nice work, Yves
