The family was on the far side of the pond when I sat down on the shore, as Junior spotted me and headed over with family in tow. I noticed a curious boat-tailed grackle perched in a nearby tree, so I thought I might coax him into a shot with the family in the background. I caught this great sequence of him swooping in to pluck a piece of bread out of the water.
