It was a foggy morning when I went to this conservation site on Lake Gibson. I was fortunate to catch these two sandpipers at just the right moment in time, as I was heading back towards the start of the boardwalk. I DID see them from a distance, and slowly approached with camera to eye and pressed the trigger as this one took off. Sometimes you have to make your own luck.
