An interesting history: I shot this little project over 20 years ago on Fuji colour slide film. I constructed a light box with a slave strobe inside, and using various sized needles and nails punctured what seemed like a thousand holes in the black bristolboard front. I used basic studio lighting to illuminate models suspended from the ceiling with black thread. Around 10 years ago, with the advent of digital photography, I scanned them to my comp and later used basic photoshop to simulate a foton torpedo being launched.
