Port Weller Gulls

Quite a few adult gulls flew in close to screech their protest at my encroaching on their territory, as I walked along the pier. I believe they were being protective of the many yearling gulls, who were also quite capable of flight by now.

Thanks Allen, and your use of the words "anchor for the photo" has a double meaning which did not escape me. :) It was also my intension when I framed this shot.

It can be quite entertaining in the midst of so many gulls wheeling around.....nice capture, Robert, and the Coast Guard ship in the background is a nice anchor for the photo as well.
